There is no one-activity-fits-all. But if you take a moment to tell me about your situation, then I can send you the best-suited activities for this challenge. “It is wonderful to have good old fashioned fun things to do with her when the baby is asleep and is so easy to do with an email delivered straight to me with so many ideas that are simple and quick to setup. I honestly can’t thank you enough for helping me spend quality time with her now that our lives have changed with the addition of the new baby.” – Lechelle F, Challenger There were many laughs. Something I am realizing about these activities…my daughter loves them and has fun but I think her true joy is in spending alone time with me. She calls it “mommy and me time.” It is all very humbling. I’m realizing that I NEED to spend this time with her. – Erin K It’s a big enough struggle to parent, let alone try to be creative enough to come up with an activity and then have the supplies on hand to actually do them with your little kids, only to have them engaged for 30 seconds. I feel that overwhelm, too. I want to spend quality time with my kids. I want to be their first teacher. I want to make memories for them to look back on their childhood. This is a primary parenting goal of mine. Simple activities are key! By creating simple activities, it doesn’t matter how long your child is engaged, or if they’re focused and pay attention. You’ll find that having these easy to set up activities to do at any moment will make it easier to be the parent you want to be. “When I heard about this 7 day challenge I was very excited. Easy projects with supplies I have on hand really has helped me feel confident. Pinterest just depresses me because I don’t feel like I am creative enough, but your activities make me realize that I don’t have to do anything too involved. I can do simple activities with my boys and they have a blast. Thanks for giving me confidence in myself.” – Jessica Byers, Challenger I’m a stay at home mom of 3 active boys. I’ll be the one challenging you to be the parent you’ve always wanted to be. Parents of 2-5 year olds to do at home! Some older or younger kids will be able to join in too, just be ready to ask in our private activity group, called The Huddle, for help adapting it to your child’s age — the group is a goldmine for information like that! I took up this challenge as I felt I was failing spending quality time with my 3 year old as I’m trying to juggle her demands and that of my 7 month old baby. This challenge has certainly helped me reset my mind and approach to try and find a balance between my kids. The activities were easy to set up and fun. I sure see us repeating these activities again. – Josephine
